The Strainrite 5.00mm Crimp Sleeve is a robust, high-performance fencing solution engineered for secure wire connections in demanding agricultural and horticultural applications. Designed for 4.5mm (7 SWG) fencing wire, 2.5mm (12.5 SWG) mild steel barbed wire, and 4mm Bayco wire, these sleeves deliver exceptional joint strength that surpasses the wire’s breaking strain when properly crimped with Strainrite tools like the EzeCrimp, UltraCrimp, or Procrimp. Crafted from aluminium with water-resistant grit adhesive, the sleeves ensure reliable, weather-resistant performance, making them ideal for long-lasting livestock, orchard, and field fencing. Requiring 4–5 overlapping crimps for a cylindrical, split-free joint, and available in pottles of 50, this New Zealand-made product offers professional-grade durability and ease of use for large-scale fencing projects.

Strainrite crimps are for use on 7 gauge wire and Ø2.5mm (12½Gauge) mild steel barbed wire. Crimp 4-5 times with a Strainrite Fencing tool to ensure joint strength. Crimp from one end overlapping each crimp to eliminate shoulders. Water resistant grit adhesive for all weather application.
